Gimmicks and Gadgets for Tinkerers

As a result of nearly a lifetime of sailing, a do-it-yourself tinkerer, reading volumes of sailing books and magazines, and having the opportunity to discuss ideas with hundreds of sailors, the instructor has developed a compilation if ideas and gimmicks for boat improvements. A few topics include: using shaving cream for repairs, head odors, potable water, tricks for hard to get at bolts, cleaning tips, testing for rigging flaws, battery water, preventing oil change spills, shaft gland repacking and many more!
