Inboard Diesel Engine Maintenance and Servicing for Boaters
Understanding your diesel and its needs can help you be successful in those situations that require a fast engine start and reliable continuous operation.
Past students have said that this is the most useful seminar they have ever attended. Designed for the boat owner, not the professional mechanic, it teaches the basic operation of the engine and how to care for, troubleshoot, and repair the most common and disabling problems.
You will be given tips for operating your particular engine model that are rarely found in books or publications including such things as what additives to stay away from. Some of the systems covered are fuel, cooling, electrical, lubrication, and propulsion (props, drag and alignment). Under the heading of "What you can and can't do," Keith will discuss periodic maintenance, winterizing, spare parts, and troubleshooting. Be prepared to get dirty. Anderson's Service Centers Marine will bring engines, and you have the option to assist working on them.
We know this seminar is good when people come to Delta from surrounding states, say that the seminar was very worthwhile, and leave smiling. Our best advertising is past attendees, ask one.
