How do I register for LifeLong Learning classes online?
Students are responsible for making sure pre-requisites have been completed and verified prior to online registration. If the class you wish to register for is FULL you must call LifeLong Learning to be added to the WAITLIST.
1. Go to MyDelta (link on top right of the website)
2. Select "Register for LifeLong Learning/CEU Sections"
3. At the "Register and Pay" screen, enter the course number (or search by key words) and hit "SUBMIT" button
4. Select class from the list provided and hit "SUBMIT" button
5. Enter your personal information (required) and hit "SUBMIT" button
6. "Additional Registration Info" screen — Hit "SUBMIT" button when complete.
7.You are now ready to "Pay for Classes". Have your credit card ready and complete all required fields. Hit "SUBMIT" button to complete registration.
Upon successful registration, the system will send an e-mail confirmation.

How do I pay? What methods of payment can I use?
Payment is due at the time of registration for all LifeLong Learning Programs and Testing Services. Delta College accepts cash, check, money order and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover). Make checks and money orders out to “Delta College”.
The course I would like to take is full. Can I be added to a waiting list?
LifeLong Learning does keep waiting lists for most programs once capacity has been reached. Please call the LifeLong Learning office at 989-686-9444 to be added to a waiting list and/or for more details.
Does a course waiting list automatically carry over to next available session?
Waiting lists do not carry over to the next semester or available section.
Is financial aid available for LifeLong Learning classes or testing?
LifeLong Learning programs and testing services are not eligible for traditional forms of financial aid such as Pell Grants. However, you may qualify for one of the opportunities listed below.

What is included in the $20 admission fee/process?
Several LifeLong Learning short-term occupational training programs require that you complete an admissions application to Delta College. There are several ways to apply to Delta College. For an admissions application, office hours and other important information please visit the Admissions Office website. Please note that a one-time, non-refundable admission's application fee of $20.00 must be submitted with your application. This fee will cover the processing of your application, your first series of COMPASS Assessments, your Delta email and ID. Admission applications can be completed through several different avenues.
1. You may apply online.
2. You may apply manually by printing the application, filling it out and mailing it, along with the $20 application fee, to the Admissions Office.
3. You may apply in person with a printed application or stop by the Admissions Office and pick-up the application. Your application will be processed while you are at the college and you will receive your student number.
4. You may complete the printed application and then fax it to (989) 667-2202. If faxing an application, contact the Admissions Office with payment information.
When should I register for classes/testing?
You can register as late as the day before most classes and testing services. By waiting you do run the risk of the class either being filled or being cancelled. We always suggest registering as soon as possible to avoid these situations.
What is the attendance policy for LifeLong Learning classes?
Class attendance is mandatory for all LifeLong Learning classes. Students are expected to be fully prepared for and participate in all class sessions. Consistent on-time attendance is required. If a problem arises, you MUST contact your instructor and your clinical unit (if applicable) prior to the class or clinical. Certificate of completion will not be awarded if student does not attend all sessions.
Is there a minimum age requirement for LifeLong Learning classes?
Unless otherwise noted, LifeLong Learning classes are geared towards a young adult/adult audience. However, in some classes younger students are permitted via Dual Enrollment. Please contact our office for details about specific course age requirements.
Do I need to be a Delta student to take a LifeLong Learning class?
Many LifeLong Learning classes do not require you to complete the Delta College Admissions application to be able to participate. However, many of our Career Training programs do require you complete the Admissions process. Where are LifeLong Learning classes held?
Most LifeLong Learning classes and test sessions are held at Delta’s main campus. However, occasionally we do hold classes at one of our off-campus centers or a partnership site. Please refer to your registration statement or our website for specific class locations.
What is LifeLong Learning’s refund policy?
LifeLong Learning will grant 100% REFUND prior to the start date of any program. No refunds authorized on or after the start date. Fees are non-transferable. Testing fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Are there additional fees for books or supplies?
Many LifeLong Learning classes do require you to purchase textbook and/or supplies prior to the first day of class. These materials are not included in the course fee, as we like to allow our students flexibility when they make these purchases.
How do I know if I need to purchase textbooks for my class?
Please refer to the LifeLong Learning website to verify if textbooks are required for your course. You may purchase your books through the Delta College Bookstore.

Does LifeLong Learning provide job placement?
LifeLong Learning is focused on training and does not offer job placement. However, Delta College Career Services has numerous resources students can use to gain employment including current job postings, resume and cover letter advice, and interviewing materials. What happens if my class is cancelled?
Occasionally, classes are cancelled due to numerous reasons. The LifeLong Learning office will contact you if you are registered in a class that has been cancelled. A full refund will be automatically processed for you if this occurs.

How can I find my COMPASS scores?
COMPASS Testing is offered through the Testing Center located in A-133 on the Delta College Main Campus. Please contact them by calling 989-686-9182 or testingcenter@delta.edu.

How much does it cost to take the GED® test?
Delta charges $29 per subject or $145 for all five subjects. As with all testing fees, this is non-transferable/non-refundable.
Can I take the GED® test online?
The GED® test is currently not available online in the State of Michigan.
How can I find out which GED® assessments I need to retake?
If you are unsure which subjects you need to take to complete your test, a LifeLong Learning staff member would be happy to assist you when you come in to register.
How can I get a copy of my GED® transcript?
You may obtain a copy of your GED® transcript either from the testing center or state from which you originally completed your GED® test. Delta College charges a $10 processing fee for all GED® transcript requests. Please complete the transcript request form and submit it with your payment.
ACT® FAQs
- Students should enter through G-Wing doors on the East side of Delta’s main campus.
- Registration will take place in the main hallway.
- Registration will begin at approximately 7:45 a.m.
- Students must have their valid ID with them.
- If students are taking ACT® (No Writing), they will be dismissed at approximately 12:15 p.m.
- If students are taking ACT® PLUS Writing, they will be dismissed at approximately 1:00 p.m.
- If students are not registered but wish to test, they must provide a COMPLETED Standby Request Form or packet. We do NOT provide blank forms for students to fill out. They must have it completed upon arrival and will be permitted to test if space permits (not a guarantee).
- Standby testers will be admitted (if possible) on a first come/first admitted policy.
- If a candidate is registered for our location but seeks a test option change (i.e., would like to change from ACT® Plus Writing to ACT® No Writing or vice versa) this will be permitted if space and materials are available (not a guarantee).
