Fundamentals of Knowledge Management

Knowledge management (KM) is the process of capturing, developing, sharing, and effectively using organizational knowledge. Actively managing knowledge can help companies increase their chances of success by facilitating decision-making, building learning environments by making learning routine, and stimulating cultural change and innovation. By proactively implementing knowledge management systems, companies can re-write the old saying, “Change is inevitable, growth is optional” to “Change is inevitable, growth is intentional.” This Fundamentals of Knowledge Management course will teach you how to apply a multi-disciplined approach to achieve organizational objectives by making the best use of knowledge. You will have a good understanding of the tools that will increase and share knowledge more effectively and efficiently through a concrete foundation of principles, applications, and process within the discipline of KM. You will walk away with the ability to create an organizational knowledge management plan and organizational culture that is developed in a comprehensive format.
