Admission to Delta College

Delta College offers more than 150 transfer and career degree and certificate programs in today’s most desirable fields. So, no matter what career path you have in mind, you can go far by starting at Delta College. Join over 16,000 students attending Delta each year.

Admissions, Advising/Counseling, Career and Employment Services, Financial Aid, Registration and all the departments at Delta work together to make your start, and your whole stay with Delta College, a smooth and enjoyable educational experience.

Step 1: Apply for Admission

You can obtain an Admission Application from area high schools and agencies, Delta’s Centers, the Admissions Office or on-line. Official copies of your transcripts (high school/G.E.D.) should be sent to the Admissions Office. A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $20.00 must be submitted with your application.

COMPASS Testing

Assessment is a process to help identify your current skill levels in Writing, Reading, and Mathematics. It is not a test that you pass or fail; however, assessment scores are used as prerequisites for some LifeLong Learning courses.

The COMPASS is administered in Assessment/Testing Services - D101 to students that have applied and been admitted to Delta College.

Photo ID is required (for example: driver’s license, state ID, passport, high school ID, etc.)

It is recommended students bring:

  • Delta College Acceptance Letter.
  • Social Security # (if you do not recall the number from memory) COMPASS Assessment: Is untimed. Takes approximately 1½ hours. Is available on a "walk-in" basis during office hours. Does not require computer skills.

Not allowed in testing room:

  • Food/drinks
  • Electronic communication devices
  • Personal calculators
  • Guests/children
  • Pets

*COMPASS may be started anytime during office hours, however it is recommended you arrive no later than two hours prior to closing.
