50+...Just Like Gold

We sincerely hope you will consider joining our new Delta College program that is designed to serve our community residents who are 50+ in age. We are developing learning and fun activities, classes, seminars, travel opportunities and events for you.

On this website you will find our current schedule of activities and also highlights of upcoming events.  As you look over the table of scheduled activities, please pay particular attention to the last column of the schedule as it indicates the cost for each event and the phone number to call to register for the event or class. You will notice that often two different costs are stated....one for 50+ members and one for non-members. In case you wondered, YES, several of our programs are open to people not yet fifty.  One of the obvious reasons to join our 50+ ... Just Like Gold  program is to receive reduced rates for many events.

Our annual membership rate is $40, but because this is our “inaugural year” we are offering you an initial membership rate of $30 (for 12 months). This offer is good through August 2009. To become a member and immediately start to gain the benefits, please complete the simple membership application form. You can mail us this form with your payment or call us (686-9364) with your credit card number and you will immediately become a 50+ ... Just Like Gold  member.

If there is something in particular that you are hoping we will schedule or offer,  please call Sue Montesi , Dean of Learning Centers and Innovative Programs, (phone 686-9325 or from the Midland area 495-4000, ext. 9325) to let her know your ideas and suggestions. We are sincerely hoping that you will decide to attend our monthly meetings which will normally be scheduled the third Tuesday of the month from 11:30 am to 1 pm. and lunch is included in the cost. These meetings are called “Bits and Bites” (bits of information and bites to eat). At the end of every meeting we will update you about our future plans and also give you the opportunity to share with us your suggestions and opinions.
