Lisa Lawrason is from Charlevoix and is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Delta. She has an associate's degree from North Central Michigan College, a bachelor's degree from Murray State University, and a master's degree from Central Michigan University.
 

What I Love About Delta

Delta is great at anticipating obstacles to student success and providing resources to help them overcome those obstacles. From tutoring to disability services to a student food pantry and more, Delta takes a holistic approach to student success.

Why Delta?

The best kept secret about Delta is the many opportunities available for students to get involved in the governance decisions at Delta! The college provides venues for students to have a voice in the policies that impact their experience at Delta. I only wish that more students took advantage of those opportunities.

My Teaching Philosophy

I view my role as a college professor as an alarm clock. It's my job to wake up my students to the political world around them and to help them recognize how their political slumber has worked to the power of those who benefit from their ignorance.
