Equity Office Advisory Committee:
The Committee is responsible for addressing affirmative action concerns and assisting in the implementation of affirmative action policy and procedures for Delta College.
The responsibilities of the Committee are to:
- Be familiar with Equity and Non-Discrimination as well as Equal Employment Opportunity issues and appropriately educate the College community.
- Review the College's policy for Equal Opportunity and assist with needed changes and revisions.
- Review information concerning the College's employment profile. Make recommendations as appropriate to assist with the diversity of faculty and staff.
- Review generalities regarding equity issues. Recommend proactive measures or procedures which may assist in problem solving.
- Work with the Senate Human Relations Committee in sensitizing the College to relevant human relations and diversity issues.
- Be available to serve as a member of a formal hearing body for grievances which fall under Equal Employment Opportunity or Equity Office guidelines.
- Serve as a recommending body to the President.
