Delta Is The Leader In Real Life Education. This is so true in the everyday activities of the HMNVC Delta College Dental Site. The nominated persons have taken leadership roles by pursuing an innovative approach in not only providing additional learning experiences for the students but in serving the needs of the community in which we live and that our graduates will return to as part of the workforce. The HMNVC Delta College Dental Site can serve as a pilot project and a stepping stone for the development of further services for the HMNVC patient. This project has endless possibilities for other disciplines to provide further services to community members in need while meeting outcomes and objectives in the curriculums.

Sheilanthi and Michael worked together communicating and collaborating with many areas of the college to bring the best possible adaptive technology to students with disabilities at Delta College.
ECAPS Outstanding A/P Leadership Award
Galvann Smith, Police Academy Coordinator
Galvann’s community outreach extends into the elementary and secondary schools, local and national media, as well as law enforcement agencies. Galvann’s relationship with a local law enforcement agency led to the donation of laptops and software for each Police Academy student. This donation helps prepare our cadets for the real world by exposing them to software they will someday use in the field, thus contributing to student and program success. This donation was also a huge benefit to Delta College, demonstrating Galvann’s attention to fiscal responsibility. Printed hand out distribution has been significantly reduced and students are accessing Educator for assignments. Valuable time, money and resources are conserved, which supports Delta’s sustainability initiative.
