Benefit Eligibility by Employee Classification
AP = Administrative /Professional Staff; SS = Support Staff; MT/FS = Facilities Management/Food Service
- Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a minimum of 32 hours per week are considered full-time.
- Employees who are regularly scheduled to work fewer than 32 hours per week will be classified as part-time and will be eligible for partial benefits. Employees who work 32 or more hours (in any combination of jobs on campus) will become full-time, benefit eligible.
- Employees who work 0 to 31 hours per week on an as-needed basis will be considered part-time temporary and will not be eligible for benefits.

*In order for Full-time Temporary employees to be eligible for flexible spending, health, vision/hearing and life insurance, the employee must work twelve (12) consecutive months in the Full-time Temporary position.
**Adjunct Faculty Grant Adjunct faculty must have taught a minimum of one semester within the past two years prior to applying. All Ed classes are exempt from the one semester waiting period. Please contact the Director of Instructional Support Services for information on Program Guidelines.
