2016 LAND Illustration Competition
For the Illustration Competition, students create a design inspired by the tag line: "Providing a Network for the Development of the Liberal Arts in Michigan's Community Colleges."
Two Dimensional Design: Any concept or image, no matter how remote which has the concept of two dimensional design. It may be a symbol, pattern, realistic, or your interpretation of the theme.
Required to appear on illustration
- Conference theme: The Theme for the 2017 Conference is "Renewal"
- Conference Dates: February 15-17, 2017
- Conference Location: Muskegon, Michigan
- Must submit as a .pdf or .jpg ONLY
- Can be full color or black and white
- Work should correspond to 8"x10" format, either vertical or horizontal.

Each submission must have a completed entry form. Forms are available here.
WRIT Center consultants can assist with contest entry and upload completion.
Entries will be evaluated for the originality, creativity, and quality of the concept of how effectively the idea relates to the theme. Design and craftsmanship will also be a part of the decision.
Entries must be submitted online no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, November 28, 2016.
Entries will be juried by an art professional to determine which entries will move to the state-level competition.

One entrant will be chosen at the state level. The winning illustration will be used as cover art for the 2017 LAND Conference Program.
Students retain the copyright to their submissions to the LAND Fine Arts Competition. However, students need to grant LAND the right to reproduce any submission on its website or any other LAND publication regardless of medium of publication.
By submission of artwork, the student artist grants permission to LAND to reproduce (without further remuneration) any selected artwork. The student also attests to the originality of the design submitted.
