The Honors Program
Mission Statement
The Honors Program at Delta College offers students an opportunity to enhance and enrich their college learning experience. These specially designed courses emphasize advanced creative and critical thinking, providing a unique learning experience.
Honors courses are intellectually challenging and involve considerable interaction among students and instructors. Honors courses do not require more homework but are designed to help students learn and apply diverse concepts while stressing creative and critical thinking. Honors classes place greater emphasis on enrichment and becoming actively involved in the learning process.
The Honors Program is a highly flexible program in which a student can participate as much, or as little, as he/she desires. Each fall and winter semester a variety of Honors classes are offered. Honors credits and awards will appear on the Delta transcript.
