Financial Aid FAFSA
The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The federal government uses this form to determine your eligibility for financial aid, which can include grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. The FAFSA is used to determine how much of this aid you’re eligible for.
What information do I need to complete my FAFSA?
For the 2009 - 2010 School Year
FALL 2009 SEMESTER FINANCIAL AID
Priority will be given to students whose FAFSAs and supporting information have been received by Delta College
by November 13, 2009.
Applications and information received after this date will be processed as quickly as possible. However, we cannot guarantee financial aid will be awarded prior to payment deadline.
Information that is needed to complete the FAFSA form for the 2009 - 2010 school year is:
- Your Social Security Number. Be sure it is correct!
- Your 2008 W-2 Forms and other records of money earned
- Your (and your spouse´s, if you are married) 2008 Federal Income Tax Return.
- IRS 1040, 1040A, 1040 EZ
- Foreign Tax Return, or
- Tax return for Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Marshall Islands, the Federal States of Micronesia, or Palau
- Your Parents´ 2008 Federal Income Tax return (if you are a dependent student)
- Your 2008 untaxed income records
- Child Support Received/Paid
- Pensions/Annuities
- Veterans benefits records
- Your current bank statements
- Your current business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, stock, bond and other investment records
- Your alien registration or permanent resident card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
