Student Scholarships

Delta College is no longer accepting applications for student scholarships. Dollars are currently being awarded and all students will be notified by Monday, May 18, 2009. Please visit this website after January 2010 for information on next year's scholarships.

For students who have been awarded scholarships, please see the sample language below for donor thank you letters.

Sample Letter #1

College is hard work, but it is so uplifting to know that people like you will be helping others succeed. I plan to work hard while in school, get good grades, and go on to become a                                              . (Tell them something about your future goals, whether that is going on to a university or going right into the workforce.)

I hope someday I can give back to others who need financial assistance with their college expenses... just like you helped me. I will never forget your generosity and kindness. Thank you so much!

Tell the donor (person(s) who supplied the scholarship) what your plans are regarding college and afterward. For example, what your major is in college and what type of job you hope to get when you are done with school.
