Center For Organizational Success (COS)

Welcome to the COS (Center for Organizational Success), located in J-110! We partner with the FCTE (Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence) in supporting professional development for all employees of Delta College.

Whether your role is classroom teaching, counseling and advising, financial aid, division or area support staff, department manager, or some other role at Delta, you’ll find a variety of resources in the COS/FCTE to help you as you work with developmental, underprepared, or other students, or work with staff who serve students.

Some of the COS/FCTE services available to Delta employees include:

• A professional resource library: strategies and ideas for designing rich and creative classroom environments, improving communication, understanding how adults learn, managing and leading work groups, and other work-related needs.
• Professional development workshops, topics focused on Delta needs and Delta culture. Please check the COS website for a current schedule of events.
• Strengths-based development information for Delta College staff and faculty, using the Gallup StrengthsQuest/ StrengthsFinder assessment instrument.
• Departmental training and professional development support. We can work with you to create and implement professional development support specific to your area’s needs.
• Instructional Designer Faith Kindel, located in A-079, support for course and curriculum design. 
• Instructional Technology Support Team. Chris Curtis and David Redman offer support for classroom multimedia, web publishing, and other technologies. Chris and David maintain weekly hours in the COS and other hours by appointment.
• Computer training support specialist, Dora Salinas. 
• Technology Idea Center (in J-110), leading edge equipment you can use.
