Your Guide to Delta College Intramural Program Purpose:
The Delta College Intramural Program is designed to provide an opportunity for experiential learning for the men and women of the student body, as well as the faculty and staff, with the opportunity to participate in an organized program of athletic sports and wholesome recreational activities. We strive to encourage lifelong recreation skills, to integrate participants socially in an athletic setting, and to promote sportsmanship and fair play among the students participation in these activities. To reach our goals, Delta offers a variety of sports to choose from.
Anyone is allowed to play and there is no cost to have a team. Intramurals is a way to relieve stress acquired from hours of studying, planning and working. It is also a great way for students and faculty/staff to get to know each other on a different level. The objective’s of Delta’s Intramural program is to meet new people and have fun competing in a safe way. The great thing about intramurals is that the score doesn’t matter. As long as people can have a positive attitude, everything will go smoothly. Being involved in intramurals helps create a well rounded atmosphere that will make people want to keep coming back. Business gets done, community service is provided, and members make new friends and enjoy each other’s company.
