Endowed Teaching Chair

The Delta College Foundation established an Endowed Teaching Chair Program to promote academic quality, recognize excellence in the classroom, and encourage faculty to continue to pursue activities that address current educational challenges with creativity, innovation, and a sincere concern for facilitating student growth.
The dollar amount awarded for the Endowed Teaching Chair Program each year is based upon interest earned the prior year on the endowment. However, when an endowment drops below its original gift value, as is the case this year, the Foundation is restricted from distributing dollars. Full funding for each of the endowed chairs will resume as soon as market conditions allow.
For the 2009-2010 academic year, two Carlyon Endowed Teaching Chairs will be awarded. The Robert DeVinney, SunGard Higher Education and Karen MacArthur Endowed Teaching Chairs will not be awarded this year.
