The IST-CS Charter

Delta College and the Business and Information Technology (BIT) Division and (Computer Science and Technology) CST Discipline are committed to improving the practice of protecting information. The Information Security Technology – Cyber Security Center is charged with facilitating this process.

The center will seek to establish partnerships, support information security, and assist in development and sharing of resources and perform the following:

  • The college will seek to establish and strengthen partnerships with industry, educational institutions, and professional organizations.
  • The college will support educational efforts in cyber security, to include its Cyber Defense club and lab. To join the Cyber Defense club, e-mail kristopherhowery@delta.edu and in the subject line state “I want to join the club” You must be a Delta college student. Feel free to explore some of the Cyber Security links we have gathered for you.
  • The college will use various methods to develop and distribute resources to improve cyber security.

The Information Security Technology– Cyber Security Charter has been approved and endorsed by the Dean of Teaching and Learning, Dave Peruski.

Associate in Applied Science in Information Assurance / Cyber Security

The program is designed to prepare you for challenging positions in the rapidly growing field of Information Security and Technology. Information Assurance /Cyber Security provides the skills and knowledge to protect, and if necessary, recover information from an information system. The degree is mapped to the CAE2Y 2016 Measurement Criteria.

Information Security Technology - Cyber Security

The National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense – Two-Year Education (CAE2Y) Jointly Sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are in progress for approval of Delta College as a CAE2Y College.
