Clinical Registration
New Clinical Entry Registration Process
A new registration process will be implemented Winter 2010 for Delta programs that require students to be validated prior to entry into a program of study. The present process requires students to be available on a certain day and time to attempt to register. If you are not available on that day or time you are at risk of missing your ability to gain clinical entry. The new process will provide for more flexibility in registration and maintain consistency in student entry. This process will allow students to waitlist themselves over a period of several days. It will not matter if you waitlist on the first day or the last day.
Please note that every student will waitlist themselves and at the end of the registration period the registration system will rank order individuals based on semester of validation.
If there are more students within a validation semester for remaining openings, then the following will be used for ranking:
· Grades in BIO 152W and 153W or BIO 240 and 241 (grades of at least B will rank higher)
· Successful completion of refresher A & P (BIO 160B)
· In-District Residency
· Total Delta Credits
· Overall Delta College GPA
If a tie exists, the higher overall Delta GPA will break the tie.
Clinical Entry Registration
On the MyDelta registration system, waitlist for the “CLINICAL ENTRY/ORIENTATION” course specific to your program (click on “waitlist” not “register” in MyDelta). Students who have not been officially validated or who have a hold, will not be allowed to waitlist. At the end of the registration period, students will be registered to fill each program. Registration notification will be sent to your Delta email address, as well as to your address on file with the Registrar’s Office.

To access the orientation you will need to log into Educator www.delta.edu/educator using the same user name and password to access your MyDelta account. If you do not know your user name and password, you will need to visit https://signup.delta.edu to update and/or create one.
If you have technical difficulties within Educator, please contact the eLearning Office at eLearnng@delta.edu or click on the Help Desk located inside the orientation site. If you have an orientation question, contact your program coordinator.
In addition to the online orientation, there are required program-specific on-campus orientations for these programs:

Validation Extension
Students still need to attempt to gain entrance into a program within three years to be maintained on the validation list, unless that particular program’s wait exceeds three years. If the wait to enter a clinical program exceeds three years you must gain entry within the earliest possible timeframe. Notification will be sent indicating when a student will be dropped from the validation list.
