Getting an Associate Degree

An Associate degree may typically be awarded after a student has completed all basic degree requirements.  Some programs have in addition to basic degree requirements other specific requirements. For a list of programs offered, please refer to the College Catalog.

As an example, most programs require 62 credits to complete the program.  If a student takes 15 – 16 credit hours each semester (fall, winter, spring/summer), it will take approximately a year and a half to complete the program.  If a student takes 12 credits a semester, it will take approximately 2 years to complete the program.  This example would be if the student only needed to complete the program requirements.  If there were other requirements, such as prerequisites, it would take longer to complete the program.

Once the requirements have been met for your program, you will need to review the requirements for graduation and complete a graduation application.
