2009-2010 FAFSA Instructions

Beginning January 1st, 2009, students planning to attend the Fall 2009, Winter 2010 and Spring/Summer 2010 semesters can complete the 2009/2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

You can file a FAFSA using one of the following options:

  • Complete the FAFSA online (Recommended Method)

  • Complete a FAFSA (pdf file). Download and print the form, complete it and mail it to the address provided for processing.

  • Complete a Paper FAFSA. Request a paper FAFSA by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243). Mail the completed form to the address provided for processing.

Regardless of the filing option you choose, be sure that you indicate Delta College's code (002251) so that we receive your FAFSA information electronically.

Next Steps

  • A student aid report (SAR) will be sent directly to you. When  you receive your SAR, look it over carefully to make sure it is correct, since this is the information Delta will receive electronically.  The information on this SAR will be used to determine your eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and for most other types of aid.  If corrections are needed, follow the directions on your SAR.
  • If you need assistance completing or making corrections to your 2009/2010 FAFSA, you may stop in the Financial Aid Office, during office hours and a Financial Aid Advisor will be available to assist you.
