Course Section Key

The College will be implementing a new Course Section numbering system beginning in the Spring /Summer semester.  Course sections will be five characters instead of two.  The numbering will be as follows:

The first two characters will indicate the term -

FA = Fall Semester
WN = Winter Semester
SP = Spring Semester (May - June)
SS = Spring/Summer Semester (May - August)
SU= Summer Semester (July-August)

The next three characters will identify the time of day the course will be offered, as well as special formats -

100 - 199 = Regular daytime courses
200 - 200 = Regular twilight courses
300 - 399 = Regular evening courses
400 - 499 = Weekend courses
500 - 599 = Linked/co-requisite courses
600 - 699 = Learning Community courses
700 - 799 = CNET courses
800 - 899 = INET courses

Start time of the course:

M    Prior to 11:59 am    Offered in the Morning
A    12:00 – 3:59 pm     Offered in the Afternoon
T    4:00 – 5:59 pm       Offered during Twilight hours
E    After 6:00 pm         Offered in the Evenings
