Emergency Medical Services Field Experience
As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will provide basic emergency pre-hospital care to patients involved in accidents, injuries, or sudden illness. Places of employment include fire and police departments, rescue operations, ambulance services, hospitals, and industrial sites.
In preparation for you to register in the program, there are some items that need your attention in order for you to enroll in the EMS courses. For admission to all clinical agencies:
All of the items outlined on the EMS website, as well as the application for participation, must be submitted and processed before instructor permission to enroll EMS110, EMS111, EMS112 and EMS113 will be granted (you must concurrently register in all four courses, unless otherwise stated by the EMS Internship Coordinator). As a clinical student, it is your responsibility to maintain current health records while in the EMT program.
